My kids watch and listen to pretty much whatever they want. There is no issue that is taboo to talk about in our house. We do not attend church. But I do teach them to be open minded, socially conscious, tolerant, respectful of others, and, yes, moral. My kids may hear curse words now and then but they don't USE them. Seriously, they don't. We all want to protect our kids from whatever might be harmful to them, but I don't think that means sheltering them from everything that is disagreeable in life. And how insulting is it to tell an adult what he/she can watch or listen to? |
