posted by: imahk (reply) post date: 04.28.06 (9:12 pm) so no investigation on gas*priced hikin' like there's no sping break, eh? what if, it's just because China, India, Mexico, and the USA are really into big fast-fat cars that eats up massive gas/oil?? perhaps, we should all just limit diving behind the wheels, then allow electric cable cars to take us to any where you've deired...then ride a bicycle to keep everybody in shape...slower they/us get to anywhere, would make everybody appreciate that slowing down a bit and gettin' in shape is a lot healtier than whinning about: cost of gas...maybe we don't even have to be bothered about politics/ecvnomics/global warming... for there's no room for more unresolved~~> BLAH--BLAHS!!! posted by: littlemrmahatma (reply) post date: 05.01.06 (7:19 am) I agree that biking to work would be healthier but in LA it's unreasonable for too many such as myself. Biking across the valley would take too long and I already regret that my commute (using Metro) takes close to an hour each way. It depends on ones priorities. If you're a work-a-holic then you won't mind such a commute but for those of us who value family time it's not fun. And the cost of gas? Sure, we're not paying as much as Europeans but we pay far more than other countries. But it's the obscene profits that are irksome. They can't say there's gas crisis then giggle as they make billions of profit. It's price fixing and collusion at the very least. Think Enron... |
