For a guy and a party who are so bent on pro-life sure don't have a problem in sending our troops off to fight wars in countries that we have no business being in. I don't understand his veto on the stem cell bill. Stem cell research is critical to our future. It provides many medical and technological advances that we can only imagine. All he did by vetoing this was halt the medical advancement process. posted by: taralynn (reply) post date: 07.20.06 (7:31 am) The policy of the right wingers are this: save and fight for "possible" life and abandon them once they are born. Look at the policies which screw and abandon the poor and sick. And once again we have another example of their desire to hurt these groups rather than help. It's ok for the pharmaceutical companies to be legal "pill pushers", yet for scientist to attempt to eliminate disease, this is morally wrong? I can't see the logic here. posted by: littlemrmahatma (reply) post date: 07.20.06 (6:06 pm) Logic doesn't exist in religious nut-cases. It's there but not very deep and not very consistent. In the end, they have morals but no ethics. That's why Bush rarely, if ever, denounces his buddies who are caught stealing from the corporate cookie jar. |
