Lakers
11.11.04 (8:20 am)   [edit]
Let's see. They're winning about 50%, worse than the Clippers. Kobe has announced that he has an injury. Meanwhile, Miami with Shaq are undefeated. I said it before - big domating centers like Shaq are a rarity. Speedy, talented, shooters like Kobe are a dime-a-dozen. Every team has a Kobe. The Lakers should've kept Shaq for a few more years and traded Kobe. Shoot if they'd gotten Mihm, Odom, and Butler for Kobe, they've have a Kobe-clone (Butler) and a decent backup for Shaq. Wouldn't even have needed to get old Vlade Divac.

Just linked over from WhyNot. Cool blog. As for Shaq and Kobe, I love'em both. If anybody should have gone, it was Phil. I was never a big fan of the triangle, and let's face it, if you can't win with the two best players in the NBA on your team, your coaching should be questioned. We wouldn't have had 3 championships had it not been for the both of them. Unfortunately, their egos are bigger than even L.A. I think Shaq was better off leaving, for personal reasons. He pays no state tax in Florida, he has a home there, and there are no Duncans, Webbers, or Garnetts in the east, all which could help prolong his career. As soon as Rudy T learns how to coach some defense, the lakers will be fine.

Are you telling me that Shaq and Kobe aren't the same person?

(Hm. A person could argue that I should learn just a little bit more about sports.)

I like both Kobe and Shaq but come on lets face it Kobe is younger, more athletic, faster and a better free throw shooter. If it was my call i would have kept Kobe. He has more years to play and his in my opinion better. ive got love for both Kobe and Shaq, just more for Kobe!
